pre-Alpha v0.4 - Expected knowledge update!
How is everyone doing? See, if I am given time and actual ideas I can make an update that isn't completely disappointing !
Jokes aside, I am actually quite proud of this one, simply because of everything I was able to do, change and make better, of course nothing is perfect, and the things I said would be unfinished are unfinished, but I still think I fulfilled my task of doing everything I aimed to do in that list. But for those who haven't read the list, what's new? Let me tell you there's a lot...
Big news
Actual ones, for one I do have things to mention, and ones I am very proud of...
Character select screen!

This actually came out so good, I am not even joking, I am so proud of this. So far and probably for a while, you will get those 4 characters, Square, Circle, Triangle, and Diamond, I think they really are the main 4 I want to focus and keep for sure, I did already brainstorm the new shapes that will be selectable later, but that will be for a way later date.
Finished and Extra upgrades!

All the upgrades that weren't finished are now done, but with it comes a total of 6 new upgrades and one who is completely revamped ! And guess what upgrade is actually finished and working this time...

Yes finally! Glitch is finally working (yes with a changed behavior) and is now usable whenever!
You will find everything new in the changelog, with added detail on the new upgrades even if you can read what they do in game.
Extra info about enemies!
Ever wondered about how much health an enemies has left, or how much damage they took?

Well now you can! I finally made it possible for the enemy healthbars to show using a system I should have used WAY before, but we learn from our mistake. The damage numbers however were something fun I already wanted to do, and that I am so glad I could do so fast and easily.
Weapon accuracy!

It spreads! That's it, I know but it's fun, and makes for more weapon related upgrades. (if the gif isn't loading, play the game instead, you'll see it there.)
New L-Shaped rooms!

I decided to go for something completely different for those rooms, why ? Because I got lazy finding meaningful designs that make sense for the future story I had planned so this is what it will be like for a while, look how cool it looks though!

Plans for next update
If you saw my last changelog, and read what was new this update, you must have noticed a clear lack of money, and range...
What I can tell you is that they are here, the money counter has been added, and temporarily health also gives money BUT, this isn't how it will be for newt update, the goal will be that money will be completely implemented, and that range actually affects your view.
On another note, what do we also lack? That's right, weapons. The game currently has 7 weapons and that's counting Revolver which really sucks. Plan is to add some cool and funky weapons that change gameplay or gives more variety. I already have some plans, as well as a funny idea to include bullet patterns into some weapons which I think could be really fun.
But what will money do? Got add somewhere to spend it... You guess it, the fabled and unused anomaly door will now be accessible and now give access to a shop ! (It's planned at least, we will see what I can do.)
This is already quite some heavy stuff, but for a last mention I will say that better and more interesting enemy AI is planned, but I DOUBT i will be able to make it so quickly, if I do, I guess I am better than I thought.

- Upgrades:
- Golden Ratio: A global upgrade that turns adjacent items into golden orbs (Temporary)
- Negative Axis: Entity upgrade that for each upgrade deleted, +1 base damage.
- Pair by Pair: Weapon upgrade, if you weapon shoots a pair amount of projectiles, you deal 50% more damage.
- Law of Wave: Projectile upgrade, hitting an enemies creates a damage wave that hits for 25%
- Blue and Yellow: Global, deletes a rare and a legendary upgrade to create a green upgrade (For now, Whatsapp)
- Squash and Bost: Projectile, projectiles gets 20% smaller but +3 pierce.
- Pi Pie: Self explanatory.
- Lookisim: Projectiles, You deal 20% to shapes that resembles you.
- Characters:
- Circle: Well rounded character, faster.
- Triangle: Glass cannon, hits hard but can't take a lot of hits.
- Diamond: Slow scaler, good starting weapon but medium speed and damage.
- Added Character selection screen.
- Added 4 dummies in Test Area.
- Added a temporary money system.
- Added 12 new rooms varations for the L Shaped Rooms.
Changed:
- Reworked inventory:
- The inventory now reads after an upgrade event.
- Deleted inventory upgrades that change the inventory now are remembered.
- Inventory now gives feedback immediately after being changed.
- When an upgrade is deleted, every upgrade knows.
- Fixed and changed glitch, it now transform adjacent items into items of the same rarity that are in your current inventory.
- Transition Layer can now remember a scene.
- Weapon loading now happens twice, before on ready and after the character selected is loaded, this doesn't have an impact but is inefficient.
- Changed sprite of Pair by Pear and Blue and Yellow
- Health Prisims now give 1/5 of the health instead of 1/10.
- Disparity Gem now spawns one black black hole per bullet.
- Triangle Low and Medium have been changed to a red hue.
- Fixed issue when on upgrade deleted, upgrades that were deleted because of this event wouldn't always be deleted.
- Floors are now smaller by default. (From 25-35 rooms to 10-20)
- Floors now scale the longer the game goes (Max 15-25)
- Enemies now move 1/5 of their max speed when in idle, instead to a constant 100 units.
- Death text now is the same color of the character selected, instead of a constant blue.
